Toronto’s music scene can be pretty hectic.
In fact, often the only thing busier than the venues in this city is you. And since we know that a young professional (YP) lifestyle needs a good beat to back it up, we’re going to round up the best shows happening over the next seven days.
Every. Single. Week.
You don’t have to waste any more of your time searching for the next best concert – ‘cause every Monday you’ll find it right here.
FLYING LOTUS | DANFORTH MUSIC HALL | TUESDAY 7PM
LA’s Steve Ellison brings his experimental electronic rap to the Danforth on Tuesday. We guarantee you won’t see anything more interesting than his set on a Tuesday night.
SINEAD O’CONNOR | MASSEY HALL | FRIDAY 8PM
Sinead O’Connor makes her Toronto debut on Friday in support of her 10th studio album, I’m Not Bossy, I’m The Boss. While she probably won’t be tearing up pictures of any religious figures onstage, you never know what could happen at a Sinead show.
BEN FROST |THE GARRISON | FRIDAY 9PM
Australian Ben Frost has been living and making music in Reykjavík, Iceland since 2005, and the isolated music community there has helped him give birth to some truly interesting ambient music. Hear it live at The Garrison on Friday night.
DREAM SERENADE BENEFIT | MASSEY HALL | SATURDAY 7PM
If you can only see one show this week, this might be the one you want to choose. Feist, Sarah Harmer, members of The National, The Barenaked Ladies, Hayden, and Jason Collett will all take the stage in support of children with developmental disabilities.
COMFORTABLY NUMB | OPERA HOUSE | SATURDAY 7PM
Because you’ve always wanted to hear The Wall and Dark Side of the Moon live, back to back, in their entirety. Okay so it’s not Pink Floyd performing it, but it’ll still make for a show to remember.
JESSIE WARE | THE GREAT HALL | SUNDAY 7PM
The singer songwriter was turning heads at festivals all summer long. We’re excited to see her on Sunday evening in support of her just released sophomore album Tough Love.
