Origin Opens Second Location in Liberty Village

We've always been a huge fan of Origin and their take on tapas-style global food, so we were thrilled when Chef Claudio Aprile opened his second location in Liberty Village. Here's what you can expect on the other side of King

YP fave Origin has a new sister in happening Liberty Village. Chef Claudio Aprile’s second location opened just a couple weeks ago at 171 East Liberty Street, bringing the same chic approach to tapas and after-work drinks as the first.

The space boasts the same blackened interior as Origin’s King East outpost, with cool accents like a suspended installation of red gun cut-outs, and a vibrant fuschia wall snatching your attention as soon as you enter. The bar is centred in the room with seating all-round, perfect if you’re just looking for a drink and some quick bites.

The menu is similar in style to the first establishment, but has a bit more Latin flare mixed into the Asian fusion; like a tostada section added to the menu. A focus on raw dishes is still apparent, and some patron favourites will see themselves on the new restaurant’s menu as well.

Considering it’s in a converted gun factory, we aren’t biting the bullet when we say Origin in Liberty Village is a must-try spot for West End YPs.
