Instagram just gave itself the biggest filtering job we’ve seen since you first fell in love with Mayfair.
So put down your artisanal pizza. Lower your peace sign. And just stop all the other cliché Instagram things you do for a second to let this settle in:
Instagram has officially changed its logo.
Instead of desperately scanning your screen for notifications from the familiar brown Polaroid icon, you’re going to be staring at the flashy pink and orange neon hues of a very minimalist design.
Not only has Instagram dropped a new look on us, they’ve also re-vamped the app by introducing a sleeker design that feels more like one endless scroll rather than individual posts. Oh, and just wait until you go to post your next pic. Filter examples are bigger and offer a smoother shift between them while editing options received their own icon upgrades.
Sure, this doesn’t have the same real-world consequences as Uber becoming legal in Toronto, but we bet millions of selfie takers are going to have very strong opinions about their favourite app.
