Notable Destination: Carmel, California

From Napa, my party of two headed out on the highway to Carmel. A drive I highly recommend for the diverse scenery…passing Sand City is just one stretch that will take your breath. Eventually, about 85 miles south of San Francisco, there’s a little town tucked neatly into the seaside. Every corner of Carmel exudes what a glamourous (and amorous) getaway should be. It’s no wonder the A-List pop up here; Clint Eastwood is the mayor, after all

Notable Destination: Napa Valley

About 20 minutes from downtown Napa, Highway 29 rolls right into St Helena – a town that is full-on fine Main Street Americana. Drive a little further north and old-west-meets–bohemian-art culture in Calistoga. So after many years of wanting to experience Napa Valley, I found myself there for a full week to spa, indulge in local food, and explore the world-class wineries that surround these two towns

Notable Destination: Northern Portugal

When it comes to Europe’s dreamiest destinations, we’ll always have Tuscany and Provence. However, we discovered that the Northern Portuguese city of Porto has the history, the scenery, as well as the wine and the food, to give Florence a run for its money. Dollar for dollar, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is a sweet deal

Sure, with all the multi-sensory restaurants and high-energy clubs that line Ocean Drive and Collins Avenue, there is no end to the good times that one can have in South Beach. But since we’ve been there, done that, and gone back, we’ll give you our best of the beach and surrounding districts
