6 Holiday-Themed Bars to Check Out This Christmas Season

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and we’re getting into the Christmas spirit! Toronto bars are going out by decking their halls with twinkling lights and concocting fun holiday-themed menus. Celebrate this festive season with a drink in your hand and warm vibes by visiting these festive bars! 

1. Project Gigglewater 

Location:  1369 Dundas Street West

Project Gigglewater puts a lot of work into maintaining their title as the ultimate Christmas cocktail bar, and you’re sure to feel it! If the Christmas lights, seasonal cocktails and warm vibes weren’t enough,  $1 from each signature sip will be donated to Covenant House Toronto so you’ll be sure to get in the Christmas spirit! 

2. Compton Avenue: A Christmas Carol 

Location: 1282 Dundas Street West 

This iconic bar in downtown Toronto is transforming into a London-esque holiday bar, perfected with holiday music, festive decorations, and of course, cocktails! Compton Avenue will be donating $1 from each cocktail sold to the Salvation Army, so celebrate the season of giving by giving back with each drink! 

2. Miracle Toronto

Location: 875 Bloor Street West

This pop-up cocktail bar goes all out for Christmas. With elaborate decorations, holiday themed cocktails, as well as a visit from Kris Kringle himself, Miracle is a perfect location to get festive! Of course, what’s a Christmas bar without the spirit of giving? $1 of every drink sold and a portion of the door fee will be donated to the charity organization Nellie’s!

4. Ginger’s Cocktail Bar 

Location: 12 Sousa Mendes Street 

For the gingerbread lovers out there, there is a bar for you! Ginger’s cocktail bar creates their own little winter wonderland for you to immerse yourself in, and there will be plenty of gingerbread themed cocktails and treats on the menu. This kid-friendly bar also gives back this season by including a $5 donation to the Daily Bread Food Bank when you make a reservation. 

Papi Chulo’s: Mistletoe’s and Margharita’s 

Location: 121 Ossington Avenue

Papi Chulo’s is always ready to have a good time, and this winter season is no exception! Try out their amazing Mexican-style holiday cocktails and you can’t miss with their delicious food! Unofficial dress code: ugly sweaters and santa hats! 

6. The Thirsty Elf

Location: Fairmont Royal York, 100 Front Street West

For a more refined night, The Thirsty Elf is the place to be. The hotel bar mixes sophisticated vibes with fun-loving holiday whimsy in their holiday cocktail menu. Along with the extravagant Christmas decorating, you’re sure to have a fantastic time!
