Coming Soon: Toronto Restaurants Worth Noting

As you know, we're always on the lookout to bring you the latest resto news, and here we've found a few more notable restaurants coming soon to Toronto's scene

Ruby Eats
We’re told Ruby Eats is helmed by the same crew as now-famed – at least in our circle – Ruby Watchco, most notably, of course, Chef Lynn Crawford. Ruby Eats will be a food shop featuring a bounty of prepared foods made with quality local ingredients. Tommy Smythe announced on his Facebook fanpage that Ruby Eats is set to open this Friday, the 22nd. 742 Queen Street East.

Cafe Belong
Chef Brad Long’s resto Cafe Belong is set to open on July 30th at Evergreen Brick Works. Expect a focus on locally-sourced, sustainable, and organic ingredients, much in keeping with Belong Catering. Cafe Belong will be open year-round for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. 550 Bayview Avenue.

Goods and Provisions
Leslievillers are all abuzz with the news that the owners of neighbourhood favourite The Comrade are opening up Goods and Provisions. From what we’ve found, it will be a cozy bar/pub, probably with a small but thoughtful menu. We’ll let you know more as soon we get the 411. 1124 Queen Street East.

Cocoa Boulangerie Patisserie
There are rumours buzzing that Cocoa Boulangerie Patisserie may be opening up another Toronto location on Eglinton where the ill-fated Le Pain Quotidien once lived – perhaps even by the end of August. If it happens, expect a sweet little neighbourhood French bakery where croissants and baked goods will definitely delight.
