Damian Lewis, of Homeland and Billions fame, isn’t a particularly expressive actor.
That may be about to change as we get closer to the release of ‘Run This Town’, a feature film about the trials and tribulations of Toronto’s late former mayor Rob Ford. The movie will debut in Canada on March 6th. It originally premiered at SXSW almost a year ago.
For now, you can check out the trailer:

Lewis, who dons a fat suit for the role, is accompanied by Nina Dobrev, Scott Speedman, Mena Massoud, and Ben Platt. Dobrev, Speedman, and Massoud are all Canadian. The film was shot almost entirely in Toronto.
The story centres around a young journalist who is confronted with revealing information – ahem, crack tape! – about Ford and takes it upon himself to bring the story to life. The film has a 71% ‘fresh’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
‘Run This Town’ is not without controversy. The story, as it happened in real life, was broken in large part thanks to Toronto Star journalist Robin Doolittle. However, the lead role – that of the reporter – was given to Platt, who, not only is he not Canadian, but he is also male.

Platt, meanwhile, shot back at the criticism.
