Bacon-Infused Caesar

Everyone loves a classic Caesar. Not to be confused with the American Bloody Mary, the Caesar is often a summer staple in Canada. This twist on the cocktail is made with bacon-infused vodka. Try a Canadian brand like Crystal Head Vodka. Need I say more? They had me at bacon.

Ingredients:

2 oz. Bacon-Infused Vodka
Clamato Juice or Tomato Juice
2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
2 dashes Tabasco
Lime Wedges
Black Pepper
Celery Salt
Ice

Red Currant Champagne Cocktail

If you are looking for a classy way to toast our great country, this is the way to go. The bright red colour of this cocktail just screams Canada day. While the recipe calls for champagne, why not opt for a Canadian sparkling wine such as Henry of Pelham Cuvée Catharine Brut VQA. If you aren’t feeling the red currants, try a raspberry or strawberry puree instead.

2 tbsp. Red Currant Puree, chilled
1 bottle Champagne, chilled

White Strawberry-Lemon Sangria

This is one of my personal favourites when it comes to sangria recipes. The light, refreshing taste is perfect for any summer occasion. I find Malibu Coconut Rum goes quite well in this recipe, though regular Canadian rum suits it just fine. Choose one of your favourite Canadian wines and this sangria will be a hit.

White Strawberry-Lemon Sangria

2 lemons, thinly sliced
1 apple, cored and sliced (any kind)
1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced lengthwise

4 cups lemon-lime soda
