Elevator Pitch: Describe your job in a nutshell.
I am a DJ at Chom 97.7, the oldest rock and roll station in Canada. I host a daily evening show, from Monday to Friday, called “ Amped with The Rockman,” which is currently #1 in Montreal Radio in its category

Why did you start working at your company? What was the inspiration for this career route?
I started working at the station in November of 2009. I was originally hired as a part-time announcer, and offered a full-time position after 45 days, and haven’t looked back since.

I was inspired to get into radio through my mentor and friend, Too Tall, a radio veteran of 40 years.

What is the best part of what you do on a day-to-day basis? The most challenging part?
The best part of what I do is playing the music that I love, and spending five hours a night connecting with Montreal!

The most challenging part is finding the time to do all the things that I am passionate about , and still being present and alert for my loved ones

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I see myself in being exactly where I am supposed to be in five years…on the airwaves at Chom!

What does success look like to you?
Success is what you make it. I choose to appreciate everything I have in my life, and never take ANYTHING for granted. I also REFUSE to chase after money – it just doesn’t make you happy…my kids’ smiles make me happy!

What is the most memorable milestone in your career?
I think two things: Signing a record deal in 1999 to Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne’s label, and interviewing Peter Gabriel

Do you have any advice for other young professionals?
Follow your dreams, but be realistic, and trust your gut instincts…they never lie. Treat everyone with respect; the people you see on the way up are the same ones you will see on the way down, so be kind, charitable and caring

Do you support any charities? If so, which one(s) and why is that important to you?
I support the Montreal Childrens hospital, and am involved with the Movember campaign

What to you is notable?
Notable is being noticed for your outstanding spirit, work ethic and energy
