Is it just us, or is airline travel becoming more attainable?
Not only is it easier to hire a private jet, the beloved European budget airline, Ryanair, has just announced plans to expand its services.
The airline announced future plans to offer flights between Europe and the US.
Yes, seriously.
They will run service to 12-14 additional cities in Europe, and 12-14 more in the US. The European base will be London’s Stansted airport, with other destination airports to include Dublin, Berlin and Cologne in Germany, and airports in Italy, Scandinavia, and Spain.
While in the US, flights will fly in and out of Boston Chicago, Miami, New York, and Washington, D.C.
“European consumers want lower-cost travel to the US and the same goes for Americans coming to Europe,” Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary said in a statement.
“We see it as a logical development in the European market.”
Word is that the one-way fares will start at 99 British Pounds (or $148 USD) with occasional promos offering transatlantic flights for as little as 10 pounds. Hence, the title of our article.
But don’t get too excited; the additional plans won’t be ready until around 2020.
Still, this seems well worth the wait.
