Oh, no, he didn’t!
MLB player Matt Garza, a pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers, is currently under the scrutiny of a social media jury (and it’s not looking good for him).
It seems nobody has time for misogynistic mansplaining – especially when it involves Hollywood leading lady Jessica Chastain.
It all started when Chastain, 39, took to Twitter to express her disappointment about the Senate possibly vetoing the Affordable Care Act.
“#BirthControl is no longer covered by health insurance. Congrats USA, you’re doing your part to keep women out of the work force. #smfh” she Tweeted.
That’s when the baseball player decided to “pitch in” with his two cents.
“It’s called abstinence, a word that has been forgotten amongst this generation… it’s the best contraceptive… #juatsaying.”
The thing is, though, Garza is the father to six children himself – one of which he welcomed to the world when he was just 18-years-old.
As you can guess, the Tweet didn’t exactly go over well:

Garza fired back with a bit if a “curveball” (had to), tweeting back that his son, is a “14 yr old freshman with a 4.0 GPA” and that had he not been drafted into the major leagues, he was headed “towards degrees in engineering and mathematics.”
Ok; but that’s kind of not the point at all. Actually, it just sort of goes to show that some people probably shouldn’t be on social media.
As for Chastain, she has yet to reply to the MLB pitcher. She did, however, share with her followers that she plans to join the Women’s March in Washington on January 21 to “protect the disenfranchised.”
