Already well-known throughout the United States, 1:Face watches have recently expanded distribution to Canada with the launch of its website and e-commerce store (take a look here). Our take: 1:Face is definitely a timely (and affordable) force to be reckoned with.
Available in eight bright colours directly associated with a charitable cause, 1:Face watches put the choice to support in the consumer’s hands, letting them wear their support on their wrist with pride.
To further illustrate exactly how far funds go from the sale of each $50 1:Face watch, they’ve employed a quantifiable metric to show exactly what percentage of each sale impacts each respective non-profit cause.
For example, the sale of each black watch translates to funding for cancer research and benefits the Canadian Cancer Society, while each white watch equals 16 meals through partner One Day Wages. The sale of each yellow watch correlates to one year of education for an individual in a developing nation through Pencils of Promise. In 2013, from the sales of these yellow watches, 1:Face together with Pencils of Promise built 30 schools for children in Guatemala.
The watches themselves feature a simplistic design that looks incredibly stylish. There’s a large face with a mirrored finish that doesn’t display the time unless you push a button. When you push the button, the time pops up on the screen in white LED lights.
Even though only one button is necessary for the watch, it has one on each corner to create symmetry and a battery life estimated to last up to two years (dependent upon use). Each watch comes fully covered by a one-year warranty, so if you break the tempered glass screen, repair or replace is fuss-free.
It’s literally time to take a pick (and a stand) for a charitable cause you believe in while helping 1:Face continue to change the lives of others… they’ve done so for 625,000 thus far and you can click here to learn more about it.
