‘Cause if you didn’t think performance art was your thing you missed everything from dancing animals and snowdrop bulbs to seeing our mayor slay some Shakespeare.

Here are the Top 5 moments from Nuit Blanche Calgary 2014:

1. Mayor Nenshi stepped into the spotlight to recite lines from his Grade 12 performance of Macbeth, and obviously nailed it.

2. Catching a group of musicians dressed as mythical animals walking in silent solidarity after a riveting performance on the City Hall steps.

3. Passing by the world renowned and infamous Anna Halprin “Blank Placard Dance”.

 4. If you were one of 20,000 lucky guests, you walked away with snowdrop bulbs to plant for public or private garden beautification at winter’s end.

5. Last but not least, seeing thousands of people gathered downtown to enjoy each other’s company and some really amazing street art.
