Notable Now this week in Toronto: Power Ball, The Art of Marketing, Scrubs in the City at Evergreen Brick Works, Luminato Big Bang Bash at the ROM, NXNE, and Red and White Ball at The Courthouse

Power Ball
On June 6 at the Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery (231 Queen’s Quay West), experience your 15 minutes of fame at the Power Ball – the gallery’s massive annual fundraiser. More than 2,500 guests are expected to partake in the event which includes art installations, cocktail bars, an outdoor movie house, late night dancing, and so much more!

The Art of Marketing
On June 5 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre South Building, learn from some of the greatest minds of our time at The Art of Marketing Conference. Thought leaders like Seth Godin (best-selling author), Biz Stone (Twitter’s co-founder), and David Usher (Juno award winning musician), will be presenting platforms discussing everything related to the art of marketing.

Scrubs in the City
On June 6 at Evergreen Brick Works (550 Bayview Avenue), take part in the 12th annual Scrubs in the City in support of Sick Kids Hospital Foundation. This year’s Block Party theme is all the rage around town, where neighbourhoods will collide to create an electric city vibe, and chic will meet street for an eclectic night of fashion, food, music and culture.

Luminato Big Bang Bash at the ROM
On June 8 at the Hyacinth Gloria Chen Crystal Court at the ROM (100 Queen’s Park), be one of the first to see the North American premier of VIKTOR&ROLF’s exhibit Dolls at the Luminato fundraiser, the Big Bang Bash. The event features the premiere of the exhibit, a sit-down dinner, and an awesome after party where Toronto’s finest will all be out to play.

NXNE
From June 10 to 16 at various venues around the city, NXNE (North by North East) takes over the city for a week of musical, artistic, comedic, cinematic and interactive mayhem. With shows, screenings, exhibits, talks, conferences and more, NXNE is one of the summer’s hottest tickets, and it’s all happening in your backyard.

Red and White Ball
On May 31 at The Courthouse (57 Adelaide Street East), join hundreds of other young professionals, movers and shakers, and tastemakers at the Red and White (with a Hint of Blue) Ball. Supporting Rethink Breast Cancer and Prostate Canada, enjoy drinks, dancing, and some notable networking while lending your help to two important causes.
