We recently had the opportunity to put our best face forward at the official launch of Blanche Macdonald’s very own CurliQue Beauty Boutique opening at their swanky downtown Vancouver location just off Robson Street.
Helping make the event even more polished was the presence of five-time Emmy Award-winning makeup pro Eve Pearl, who was on hand to introduce her customized line of easy-to-use beauty solutions exclusive to CurliQue, as well as offer up some savvy, notable advice (beyond the beauty palette) to event attendees.
With an audience full of industry insiders, stylists, media personalities, fashion writers, beauty bloggers and influencers, it was indeed a great mix. After a brief meet and greet, we watched as Pearl took over the stage with her products and provided an insightful before and after demo of her unique line of no-fuss products with a volunteer guest as her guinea pig. The end result had us sold.
The event proved to be a great opportunity to learn about more than just makeup, though – we found Eve’s story to be packed with relevant tidbits of career-savvy info and enjoyed the informative Q&A session. With more than 18 years of experience working within the television/film industry, she had some incredible insight to offer about what it takes to navigate through such a competitive field of work in film. Her sage words of advice we want to pass along to young professionals: Do what you love, work hard and work consistently.
