Cote Nord Tremblant: A Weekend Getaway in Style

Some of our best winter weekends spent here were amongst a few of our closest buddies, in a cozy chalet, drinking Baileys with coffee and, of course, dancing a little into the night. We recently had a chance to experience the same, with our very first trip of the snowy season being spent in Cote Nord Tremblant

It’s winter season in Quebec, meaning cooler weather, longer nights, cups overflowing with delicious hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and layers of snow sprawled across the landscape. With the snow coming around, this also means weekend getaways, something that has seemed to grow into a major trend for Montreal YPs. Since we are very lucky to have a number of wonderful little and bigger ski towns at close enough proximity where we can hop in our cars last minute and take off, it only seems natural that weekend planning largely revolves around these spots. We had the luxury of enjoying one of their 50 wonderfully rustic but modern cabins. Surrounded by an acre of forest, the chalet had a very warm feel, with a cozy fireplace in the dining room, a large enough space to cook dinner for a few of your friends, three full floors, a fully-equipped kitchen, and the winner: an outdoor hot tub, the topping on the wintery snow cake!

Although the cottages all have kitchens, there are many gastronomic services that are offered on site to enjoy local delicacies. We spent our first evening being fine dined at Caribou, Côté Nord Tremblant’s culinary treasure. The charming restaurant overlooks Lac Supérieur and was a three-minute drive from our doorstep to theirs. It offered a very tasteful bistro menu comprised of inventive comfort food that truly tasted authentic and very fresh. The wine and cocktail selection is plenty, we especially enjoyed the dirtiest martini we ever had that would even give 007 a run for his money. Ask for Val when you are there, she will prepare it for you! If you’re feeling lazy, the chef also offers a catering service at home and will even prepare the meal inside your cabin. Talk about personalized service!

Since a lot of YPss in Quebec run their own business, Côté Nord is also a great alternative destination for corporate meetings and office parties, or for sending off well-deserved colleagues on a little thank you trip. Fully equipped with Wi-Fi, a full boardroom, and studio to two bedrooms suites, it’s a great alternative to spending a weekend in a hotel building. Believe us when we say the grounds here release creativity and the air itself injects energy to the max – great for brainstorming!?The best part about Cote Nord Suites and Cottages is the rental prices; they are extremely YP-friendly with no shortcuts taken in between. And if you are looking for a longer term investment, there are options to buy – also for an attainable price.
