Ok, pretty much nothing you do will matter between now and July 24th.
Because that’s when – just an hour and a half north of Toronto –72 hours of the time of your life will go down.
Last month, we told you that the creators of Bonnaroo would bring a weekend long camping and music festival within driving distance of Toronto come July (the 24th-26th, to be exact).
Well, they’ve decided on a name and announced a lineup – and it’s worth postponing your summer vacation for.
As for the name, they decided to go with WayHome Festival.
But it’s the lineup that’s getting all the attention.
It features – wait for it – Kendrick Lamar, Alt-J, Modest Mouse, St. Vincent, The Decemberists, Passion Pit, Sam Smith, Run the Jewels, Girl Talk, Sloan, Lowell, Jewel, The Sheepdogs, and Future Islands.
Other artists include Danny Brown, Fucked Up, Hozier, Bassnectar, The Gaslight Anthem, Cold War Kids, Big K.R.I.T., METZ, How to Dress Well, Courtney Barnett, Timber Timbre, SZA, Viet Cong, Com Truise, Rural Alberta Advantage, Alvvays, Vance Joy, Sylvan Esso, Odesza, Yukon Blonde, and July Talk.
The three-day event promises to have four stages, original art installations, an onsite farmers market, and a “late night forest” (trippy).
General and VIP tickets – which include camping – go on sale February 16th.
As if we really needed a reason to be even more excited for summer…
