Geocaching, anyone?
Have you ever tried geocaching before? It’s like being on an exciting treasure hunt in the great outdoors. As part of the Winterstart festival, people will have the opportunity to try Geocaching this Friday out in the mountains. All you have to do is enter the following coordinates into your GPS or the GPS app on your smart phone to start your own adventure on the snowshoe trails around Lake Louise: (N51.24.873 W116.13.051, N51.25.181 W116.13.260, N51.25.158 W116.13.038). Mad Max
Cinema Fantastique presents a special cinematic event on December 20th. If you need a break from Christmas activities, then head to the Plaza Theatre in Kensington to catch Mad Max 2: Road Warrior. This film is a cult classic that takes place in a future post-apocalyptic landscape of Australia. This screening is being held to help out the Interfaith Food Bank; if you bring two non-perishable items to the show, you will be entered to win four tickets to the next film at the Plaza.

artRISE
Friday is your last chance to see the artRISE 2013 exhibit at the Art Gallery of Calgary. Up until December 20th you can purchase a raffle ticket for the art on display. The raffle will decide who gets to select a new piece of artwork to take home. There are still 28 works of art on display and you can view the catalogue of work here. The tickets are $500, which is a great price for signature art.
