Best Toronto Sports Bar: Hunters Landing

Be prepared to engage in a bit of competitive banter with rival sports fans at this local watering hole, as Hunters Landing attracts hundreds of sports fans from all over for every big game. Located steps away from the Rogers Centre and Toronto’s lakeshore, this sprawling sports bar overlooks Canoe Landing Park on Fort York Boulevard and is a popular sports bar for those living in City Place. Hunters can accommodate 380 sports fans and has a stunning 2,000 square foot patio, an industrial vibe with its rustic wood-paneled walls, and a private mezzanine, which is the perfect spot for hosting private parties and events. Hunters Landing also features floor to ceiling windows that can open during the warmer months allowing for a truly unique open concept atmosphere.

The menu is varied and can appeal to basically everyone. There’s a decent selection of vegetarian options, as well as plenty of appetizers, salads, burgers, pasta, and mains to choose from. We suggest trying the signature fish tacos, the Landing burger, or the pulled pork pizza. If you’re feeling a bit hung-over on the weekend make sure to swing by Hunters to try the brunch menu, but most importantly the Absolute Cure Caesar cocktail — which has enough garnishes to keep the entire Toronto Blue Jays team satisfied. The Caesar comes garnished to the max with a lobster tail, brisket slider, strips of smoked bacon, a wedge of mozzarella cheese, cherry tomatoes, and a variety of house pickles — instantly curing you of all hangover symptoms.

With plenty of TVs and almost as many beers, Hunters Landing is easily one of Toronto’s best sports bars and it’s the ideal place to get your sports fix west of Toronto’s downtown core and where you’ll meet plenty of locals and rival sports fans as you bond over pints and whatever game is on.
