Il Mercato Brings Italian Night Market Experience to Vancouver

We’re all about exploring the various cultural niches that make up Vancouver and especially adore the opportunity to explore the different marketplaces that pop up during the summer months. So when we heard word that the city is set to get its first-ever Italian Night Market, our interest was notably piqued

The Italian Cultural Centre in East Vancouver recently revealed plans to establish an ‘Il Mercato’ (Italian Night Market) at 3075 Slocan Street as of mid-August. Plans for the market include a network of Italian vendors offering up a selection of specialty gifts, prepared foods, farm fresh produce and crafts for purchase.

Along with endless eats, the market will feature live entertainment and Italian-themed demonstrations on site (including olive oil tasting and pasta-making tutorials). You’ll also score yourself a chance to get cultured: the first 50 shoppers to the Mercato will receive 10% off an Italian language course when the market kicks off on August 15th.

With its goal being to provide a venue to showcase the tastes of the Mediterranean in the heart of Vancouver, the Italian Night Market will feature plenty of locally grown fresh produce alongside dishes prepared by Il Centro’s chef. Definitely worth saving your appetite for!

Get ready for a culinary and cultural adventure. The Italian Night Market will run from 3pm until 7pm every third Friday of the month starting in August until November.
