8 Must Try Montreal Brunches for Mother’s Day

With everything our mothers have done us, from putting up with our teenage years to always making sure we're the best versions of ourselves, they deserve to be spoiled, even if it’s only one day a year

Mother’s day in Montreal is quickly approaching and most of you probably haven’t even had the time to think about where to take the most important woman in your life.

Luckily, we’re here to help.

With everything our mothers have done us, from putting up with our teenage years to always making sure that we’re our best selves, they deserve to be spoiled, even if it’s only one day a year.

So on May 10th, treat her like the queen she is  with a delicious brunch:

Maison Boulud
The Ritz-Carlton’s prized restaurant has a big Mother’s Day brunch planned. An $85 three-course prix-fixe menu is set that will include an appetizer, a main cours,e and dessert. Some of the dishes include lobster benedict, olive oil poached Icelandic cod and – wait for it – the DB Burger stuffed with braised short ribs and foie gras, fries, and black truffle mayo.

L’Orignal
Old Montreal’s coveted spot with an après-ski feel is celebrating Mother’s Day with an all-out brunch menu that will have your mouth watering at first sight. Expect stunning heaps of eggs benedicts, bone marrow and eggs, and game sausage – all reflecting the meaty picture that is L’Orignal.

Lemeac
Give your mom a little taste of Parisian flair with Lemeac. This place is divine in every sense of the word. Their Norwegian plate is all the foodie rage with its salmon gravlax, Nordic shrimps, caraway bread, and cucumber salad. Or if you’re feeling like you want something sweet, how does French toast with caramelized bananas and chocolate sauce sound?

Beauty’s Luncheonette
Take mom down memory lane with Beauty’s. The restaurant’s vintage décor and old diner feel still are going strong. Line-ups are the norm here so make sure to wake mom up nice and early. You can’t go wrong with the latkas and milkshakes.

Bota Bota
The Old Port’s floating spa is throwing a special bathe and brunch day. For $80 a person, your package deal includes a water circuit journey, brunch meal, and a glass of mimosa. The food is provided by none other than L’Auberge Saint-Gabriel – so you know it will be one to remember.

Labarake
Rosemont’s beloved LABARAKE is happy to announce it will be throwing a special Mother’s Day brunch – and just in time for their terrace opener. This popular Angus Shops hangout will be serving up their deliciously famous French gastropub-style Sunday brunch. The plates that stand out the most on the menu are the Pain Dore XXL (thick French toast, apples, cranberries, pecans, and butter) and our personal favourite, Le Tartare De Boeuf Inhabituel.

Salmigondis
This Litte Italy gem has been all the buzz lately. The fascinating ambiance and food go hand-in-hand, offering refined brunch dishes like trout gravlax, venison, and fresh duck confit.

Wilfrid Sur Laurier
Wilfrid’s brunch menu is very affordable and boasts an array of dishes to satisfy everyone’s taste buds. Our standout favourites are the salmon gravlax in a buckwheat pancake with scrambled eggs and fennel salad, and the Challah French toast with caramelized apples and pastry cream.
