One of the biggest and most important decisions of all is simply deciding where to get married in Calgary.

The Calgary Zoo
Getting married in the botanical gardens is a unique and magical experience for any animal lover (and ideal for kids). There are many options for venues, including the Eurasian tent for summer months, the Safari Lodge, or their restaurant and patio for smaller groups; and FYI, the locally sourced food served is out of this world.

Spruce Meadows
If you’re looking to tie the knot outside of the city, Spruce Meadows is a great option with its beautifully kept lawns and still only 30 minutes away from the centre of Calgary. Choose from either the British House’s Georgian Room, which can accommodate up to 120 guests, or the Congress Hall, which can cater to up to 500.

Bon Valley Ranch
Situated in Fish Creek Provincial Park, the house has a stunning wraparound veranda perfect for photo opportunities. The beautiful grounds with a gazebo provide a possible outdoor setting for the ceremony, or you can get married inside the ranch itself. There’s also the option to have an outdoor reception in the Meadow Muse Pavillion tent.

Aero Space Museum of Calgary
Keep your dad occupied with this unusual venue. If you want something a bit different or are a war history aficionado, this is a very unique place to get hitched. You can tie the knot in the hangar which can hold up to 200 guests or in a tent surrounded by a Lancaster Bomber with the runway lit up by tiny fairy lights.

Inglewood Bird Sanctuary
The Walker House Lawn is a unique spot for a small, but very memorable Calgary wedding. The historic brick house was built in 1910 and has a 36-hectare bird sanctuary so you’ll be sure to get some colourful snaps. All events are environmentally sustainable, so confetti and other decorations may be prohibited in certain areas.

The Lake House
Situated on Lake Bonavista, this rustic wedding venue – complete with elk antler chandeliers and roaring fireplace – offers a stunning backdrop for your nuptials. It’s perfect for a small ceremony, and because of the beauty of the lake it’s a great option for summer or winter months. It can accommodate 180 people seated or 250 cocktail-style.

Ralph Klein Park
This way, non-traditional couples. If you’re less little white chapel and more modern architecture, this could be the venue for you, and it looks sensational illuminated when evening falls. There’ a large balcony and rooftop for you to use, and you even have the option of holding the ceremony outside on the terraced area in warmer months.

Carriage House Inn
With three separate ballrooms, this location is ideal for anyone with a large wedding party and can seat up to 350 wedding guests for dinner. There are menu options to cater to your party size and budget, plus having your big day at a hotel solves the age-old-problem of where everyone is going to stay.

Teatro Ristorante
From parties of four all the way up to 200, Calgary’s most-awarded fine dining establishment offers huge scope for couples getting hitched. The white stone building’s facade is magnificent and has beautiful high ceilings on the inside. Hosts can help with party favours, menu planning or even cake design by their in-house pastry chef.

Azuridge
This 13-acre venue in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains is a stylish and luxurious place to tie the knot, with stunning panoramas across Calgary. With the potential for an outdoor ceremony and a visually pleasing sprawling wooden staircase on the grounds, there will be ample opportunities to get some unforgettable snaps of your big day.

Fort Calgary

Room rental, dinner and drinks are all on offer at The Officer’s Mess at Fort Calgary, which can cater to up to 144 people, and guests can take a wander around the grounds of this historical landmark between ceremony and reception.

Foodies, rejoice. A popular choice for young couples, Bonterra has the main dining area, which can seat up to 70 guests, or a private wine room that can cater up to 40 friends and family. You’ll have the entire house and historic gardens to yourself for the big day, including access for guests to tour the historic exhibits on the second floor.
