11 Notable Spots to Watch the Super Bowl in Vancouver

Is there anyone in Vancouver who isn’t in full plan mode when it comes to where they will be spending their Sunday? After all, the city is sure to be taken over by Seahawks fans (and a few bandwagon supporters) to cheer on our stateside neighbour. If you aren’t hopping on a quick flight to Arizona, here is where you should be

It’s the big day.

For Vancouver football fans, it’s a major deal. With the Seahawks on rotation more than the Canucks (truth be told), the city will be taken over by navy and lime green. Well, there may be a few Patriots fan in the house too.

If you’re not heading down to Seattle to take in the hometown atmosphere, don’t worry – hanging around town for Super Bowl madness will be just as good.

Here are the places you will want to consider spending the day…

Boston Pizza Stadium District
A Super Bowl party with a Super Bowl champion – hosted by Mitch Berger, the biggest Boston Pizza around is giving away free beer for a year and signed jerseys as well as opening doors bright and early to get the party started.

One Under Urban Golf Bar
For something a little more reclusive but with lots of substance, head underground to One Under where the game will be playing and you can squeeze in a couple rounds as the day unfolds.

The Lamplighter Public House
The reservations are already full for this Sunday’s event, but The Lamplighter will stay be taking walk-ins on an availability basis. All you can eat burgers for just $30 and a pre-game Madden tournament are sure to set the mood for the big game.

The Charles Bar
This Gastown favourite has filled up their reservations too but recommend showing up early for the last spots up for grabs. Special Super Bowl drinks and prizes will be happening throughout the day.

Even with their expansive space, Craft promises you can catch a good view from every seat in the house. Start with brunch before kick-off and hang out until after the game.

Another free event at the Vogue, where you can take advantage of their big screen. There will be trivia, giveaways and stadium food.

G Sports Bar & Grill

It might be convenient that a new creation – the chicken and waffles Caesar – is being added to the menu for January 31st. Aside from trying new things, these guys wants you to get out of your apartment and join them for Super Bowl madness.

Yaletown Brewing Company
