After a long weekend like we just had (we’re still in recovery mode), we’re looking forward to a weekend of May 2-4 reprise since, you know, it’s actually May 2-4 tomorrow. Here’s what’s getting us all a groovy this weekend…

Thursday
Arts & Crafts is celebrating 10 years, and as part of this milestone they are presenting a new exhibit by Toronto-based fashion and music photographer Norman Wong. Opening tonight at 1093 Queen St. W. (Unit 2), this exhibit will also serve as a pop-up shop for all things related to Arts & Crafts’ 10th anniversary celebrations, including tickets to Field Trip, artist merchandise and the limited edition fashion collaboration created by Jeremy Laing.

Take a stand for children’s mental health tonight at the Burroughes Building for One Night Stand in support of the Hincks-Dellcrest Centre. With an open bar, great hors d’oeuvres, silent auction, and networking aplenty, this is one good-time gala you don’t want to miss.

Friday
The day the city’s foodies have all been waiting for arrives Friday, as CraveTO takes over the beauty that is Evergreen Brick Works. Featuring some of Toronto’s favourite food trucks, great local craft breweries, and around-town DJs, CraveTO combines the best of the city in one hot spot.

Another instalment of the Midnight MRKT takes over the 2nd Floor event space Friday night, featuring the best of the best of the city’s scene. Food? They got it. Drinks? You know it. Fashion? Up for sale. Music? Your ears won’t go wanting. This is one of the coolest events of the weekend. You’re welcome in advance.

Saturday
Another great day for great tunes, the CBCMusic.ca Festival is on Saturday, taking over Echo Beach for an amazing musical melee. Who’s on the docket? Sam Roberts Band, Of Monsters and Men, Kathleen Edwards, Sloan, Jarvis Church, Half Moon Run and many more will be taking to the stage to wow the crowd.

Try something new at barVolo Saturday evening when elusive micro-brasserie Le Trou du Diable brings in their finest for a Barrel Aged Tasting. Featuring six of their craftiest beers, you’ll get to sample the nuances that barrel aging affords great suds. Word of warning: You may get a li’l addicted.

Sunday
Eat for a good cause over at the Mod Club on Sunday, as four of the city’s top chefs square off in a battle to the death… of hunger. In support of My Food My Way, Abbey’s Kitchen Stadium sees local “celeb” chefs Matt Basile (Lisa Marie), Matt Pettit (Rock Loster), Rocco Agostino (Enoteca Sociale and Pizzeria Libretto), and Bruce Woods (Woods Restaurant) duking it out in a Chopped/Iron Chef style throwdown for kitchen stadium glory.

The annual Doors Open festival unlocks the deadbolts on some of Toronto’s most illustrious venues. This is your chance to get out there and really explore the city and all it has to offer. Our greatest landmarks, buildings, and attractions are in on the skirt-lifting event, where you’ll get to tour and discover some of the great establishments that are the makeup of our metropolis.
