Tejano BBQ Burrito Opens in St Henri

Tex-Mex lovers: it’s time to throw your sombreros in the air, chant ariba, ariba, and do whatever else you do when the option for extra guac is presented to you. St-Henri finally has a much-needed Mexican addition in the form of Tejano BBQ Burrito Shop. The philosophy? Quick, creative, and fun – just how we like it

Some much-needed Mexican flavour has finally arrived in the South West.

The highly anticipated Tejano BBQ Burrito Shop (511 de Courcelle) finally opened serving up simple, quick, fun, and creative TexMex in a relaxed environment.

Blending traditional Mexican recipes and ingredients with the rich, bold, and smoky flavours of central Texas BBQ, Tejano’s burritos are promising to be original and fresh.

If a burrito doesn’t make your tummy growl in happiness, bowls and seasonally inspired salads are also offered on the menu.

So who’s behind this foodie fiesta?

Clara Barron, Ryan Bloom, and 5-Time Quebec BBQ Champion Dylan Kier of award-winning Blackstrap BBQ.

Dylan’s love of Texas BBQ and traditional Mexican food created his passion for the development of a new Tex-Mex fast casual concept in Montreal.  During the summer of 2014, Dylan and Clara teamed up with Ryan Bloom, founder of Urban Bonfire and partner in Rustique Pie Kitchen

Dylan spent months building, testing, and refining every sauce, salsa, and spice combination used at Tejano. With everything made fresh daily on site, Tejano is a tribute to the bold, complex flavours of the Tex-Mex cuisine.

Tejano is open Tuesday through Sunday starting at 11am.
