Out with the old and in with the new.
While the Good Wolfe is no longer, Yaletown will be getting a far more exciting new resident this spring: The Greek by Anatoli.
Brothers Iani and Alexi Makris, sons of Anatoli’s founding family, have joined partner Daniel Bergman to open the doors of their second restaurant.
The Mykonos inspired destination promises to bring a unique experience to dining that’s unlike anything else in Vancouver.
Chef Scott J. Robertson has created a vibrant approach to the menu of meze-style dishes using only the freshest ingredients – unique to Greece – while maintaining traditional family recipes and a few Anatoli signatures such as the Country Lamb, fall-off-the-bone braised shoulder of lamb, and Iani’s Prawns, marinated prawns served in a sauce of mushrooms, tomato, feta, and ouzo.
Salivating yet?
If you find yourself there for dinner or into the late hours you could also mingle around the 20-seat bar with a legendary cocktail created by Marc Quinn.
As for the atmosphere, expect your aforementioned mingling to be done amongst friends.
Embracing the social elements of Greek culture, the restaurant will emulate the authenticity of a lively Mykonos restaurant by incorporating aspects of the same atmosphere with sharing-style plates, an open patio, and long communal tables creating the perfect environment for Yaletown’s next social hub.
