GO Fest is set to take place over the upcoming Victoria Day Long Weekend (May 16th to 19th) and is a Great Outdoors Festival created by the Resort Municipality of Whistler to celebrate all things adventure (exactly what comes to mind when we think of this town).
GO Fest aims to give weekend warriors (yet) another reason to escape spring cleaning chores and head up the Sea to Sky for a weekend of outdoor indulgence – helping celebrate the unique time of year in Whistler when people truly get to choose their own adventure, be it winter or summer-themed pursuits.
This year’s inaugural GO Fest includes three days of sporting challenges ranging from mountain biking (GO Enduro) to skiing and snowboarding, whitewater rafting, The Great Green River Challenge, a slush cup, and chance to do the Alpenglow Run and plenty more to guarantee you’ll be sore, sunburnt and exhausted by Sunday.

Aside from great deals on accommodation at Whistler hotels, GO Fest will also feature free outdoor concerts from Juno Award winners The Sheepdogs, The Boom Booms, and legendary Whistler favourites She Stole My Beer.
GO Fest will also mark the return of the Great Snow-Earth-Water Race – held nearly two decades ago as an anchor event showcasing BC’s great outdoor adventure spirit. The Great Snow-Earth-Water Race is a six person, multi-stage relay event that incorporates ski/snowboard touring, downhill skiing/snowboarding, downhill biking, running, canoeing, and cross-country biking.
