Notable.ca TIFF Party Tonight at The Hoxton
What would TIFF be without a Notable.ca bash? We’re hosting a TIFF 2011 party at the ultra-cool and hip The Hoxton, and with DJs like GRANDTHEFT, Lazy Ray, and NAV C, you know it’s going to be the hottest spot tonight. RSVP to tiff@notable.ca to get reduced entry before 11:30pm.

Drake Hotel’s Chinatown
The Drake Hotel started this summer off with a Dining Roadshow, transforming their dining room into a summer school throwback. Just last week they unveiled the latest stop on their roadshow: Chinatown. With a new menu (Chinese take-out inspired) and a superb cocktail list (a Faye Dunaway, anyone?) the Drake’s Chinatown is a must-try.

TEDxToronto After Party
TEDxToronto, the event that brings together a veritable pantheon of thought-leaders to share their wisdom, is back next Friday the 23rd, and while the talks of the day are worthy of buzz, the after party at Steamwhistle is undoubtedly going to be one of the hottest tickets in town. PS Spaces for this party will be gone soon, RSVP early.

Shine On!
On Thursday the 22nd, the Burroughes Building will play host to the inaugural benefit event of the Project Sunshine Young Patrons’ Circle, in support of Project Sunshine’s work with children in hospital. Some of the who’s who of Toronto’s young philanthropic scene will be in attendance for this evening of art, entertainment, and of course, philanthropy.

2nd Annual Walk for Freedom
Oliver and Bonacini Events at Toronto Board of Trade presents the 2nd Annual Walk for Freedom to bring an end to human trafficking, which is sadly still prevalent in many countries. On Sunday the 18th at 77 Adelaide West, registration begins (though you should register in advance) and a free breakfast will kick off the 5km Walk for Freedom.

9th Annual Queen West Art Crawl
This annual event started as a one-day fest and has since become a weekend-long exhibition. Running today through Sunday, check out paintings, sculptures, wares, and more from over 500 artists all vying for industry attention during this cultural event, taking over shops and venues on Queen West from Bathurst to Roncesvalles. It’s one of the last few weekends of warm weather, get on the streets and explore.
