Ben and Jerry’s Introduces Their Second Ice Cream Beer: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ale

Some of the best indulgences in life include things that go directly to your hips and taste in wickedly good way.

Which is why we’re thrilled to learn that Ben & Jerry’s is giving us yet another reason to curl up on the couch and indulge in one of their products because our date stood us up.

Our favourite ice cream duo has teamed up with New Belgium Brewing Company to release another weird and wonderful ice cream-inspired beverage.

Last fall, Ben & Jerry’s and New Belgium teamed up to create a Salted Caramel Brownie Ale. Due to the success of their first experiment, they’ve teamed up again to release a new beer that was inspired by one of Ben & Jerry’s most popular flavours of all time: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.

Sometime this fall, you can expect to find six-packs of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ale on liquor store shelves and we can hardly contain our excitement.

“The beer in development tastes amazing and we look forward to talking about climate change and climate action,” said Jenn Vernier, New Belgium’s director of sustainability.

“With the upcoming election and a new administration, year two is even more important than the first round.”

But we’re not just looking forward to the mouthwatering flavour profile. The companies have also promised that $50,000 of the proceeds will go towards climate change awareness group Protect Our Winters, which is a non-profit committed to raising awareness about climate change.

Ice cream, beer, and a great cause? We’ll definitely cheers to that.
