Bang Bang Ice Cream: Your New Addiction

Rosanne Pezzelli has been providing Toronto taste buds with some of the finest baked goods and ice cream since 2011 in her shop steps north of Bloor at Delaware. The best ice cream sandwiches in the city have moved south.

For aficionados of summer treats, it’s no surprise we’re talking about Bakerbots. Rosanne Pezzelli has been providing Toronto taste buds with some of the finest baked goods and ice cream (and baked goods and ice cream combos) since 2011 in her shop steps north of Bloor at Delaware.

And now that she and her brother Arthur have opened up Bang Bang Ice Cream & Bakery at 93a Ossington Ave., this foodie strip has a new favourite dessert.

A small, unassuming space, Bang Bang Ice Cream boasts some 40 flavours (including the likes of cinnamon toast and avocado) all made in-house using locally sourced ingredients. How local? Sam James Coffee Bar provides the flavour for all coffee related specialties.

There are fresh baked cookies, including the must-try everything cookie and a vegan option, tea and coffee selections, as well as scoops of ice cream that come with the choice of a Hong Kong waffle cone that’s also made in-house.

And while all of these options look mouth-wateringly good, we’ve come here for the sandwiches. If you haven’t had one of these sinfully delicious combos yet, we warn you: they will change the way you look at the word treat.

Here’s how it works…

You pick a pair of cookies and a flavour or two of ice cream and Bang Bang will put them together in sandwich form and you will eat them and wonder how you ever lived without them.

It’s that simple.

If you’re the kind of person who associates with a sweet tooth, Bang Bang should be the next place you get your fix of guilty pleasure. Just don’t blame us if you can’t stop.
