This Friday’s All-Star Gala is Worth Skipping the Cottage for

If you have a passion for professional athletics, supporting an amazing cause, and mingling with some of the city’s finest, you’re going to want to be at the second annual All-Star Gala.

This Friday (June 17), Toronto’s Arcadian Court will fill with some of the most recognized faces in sports and 1,200 young professionals for an energy-fuelled celebration in support of SickKids and Montreal Children’s Hospital.

If you went last year, you know it’s worth skipping the cottage for.

Presented by Toronto’s event marketing professionals, West of Contra, and hosted by TSN’s Cabral “Cabbie” Richards, the evening will feature performances by Aion Clarke, an open bar, a luxury silent auction, dessert tables (a sweet perk) and an all-star guest list that includes Toronto Maple Leafs centre Peter Holland and Montreal Canadiens defencemen PK Subban.

“I’m honoured to be able to get behind a cause that’s so close to my heart in this celebratory way. It’s the event of the season for young professionals to come together and have an amazing night for an important cause” said Peter Holland.

Of course, the Montreal Children’s Hospital remains close to PK Subban’s heart. As you may recall, Subban donated $10 million to the hospital back in September.

The evening will also attract other past and present pro athletes from the NHL, NBA, NHL, CFL, MLS and MLB, who will join the easy-on-the-eyes guests to blow off the workweek.

The event aims to raise $150,000 for the two essential hospitals in one night. Last year’s All-Star Gala in support of SickKids raised $75,000.

The evening kicks off at 8:00pm.
