For better or worse, February has historically been known as the month for romance.

But thanks to Parks and Recreation and to a rising culture that celebrates types of love beyond affection shared between twosomes, February isn’t just for lovers anymore. There are so many wonderful reasons to celebrate Galentine’s Day. It’s a fun opportunity to show love for your gals, lets you make the most of the indoors during long winter days, and last but not least, Galentine’s Day typically means a delicious, boozy brunch. And to win when it comes to brunch you can’t skimp out on mimosa ingredients. A premium Prosecco like Mionetto will elevate your brunch from good to great – it’s authentic flavour profile will seamlessly infuse the feeling of sipping bubbly at a cafe in Italy into your kitchen-table, girl-gang gathering. 2 oz. Orange Juice
3 oz. Mionetto
Fresh/Dried Strawberries

Fill an ice cube tray with sliced fresh fruit or dried fruit. Pour Mionetto over the fruit to fill the cubes. Freeze overnight until solid. Add the ice cubes to your prosecco flute and pour in 1 part orange juice, 1 part Mionetto. Garnish with a strawberry or orange!

  • 2. Ask your guests to bring their favourite brunch dish.
This tip has a few benefits: by having everyone bring a dish it cuts down on cooking time and cost for you, and you get to sample something everyone has made with love! If you’ve invited a pal that has absolutely no idea what to do in the kitchen, grabbing croissants or some fresh-pressed juice is quick and easy and will be a delicious addition. This also frees you up from cooking the entire time so you get to connect with your girls.
  • 3. Fresh flowers are a small touch that goes a long way.
Of course, you’ll want to ensure your Galentine’s Day brunch is Insta-worthy without having to spend a fortune on decorations that are probably not all that eco-friendly anyways. A much better option is to grab a few bouquets of fresh flowers to brighten up your table. Pick up some tulips, daisies, or sunflowers for a fresh pop of colour at your local grocer or flower shop. Another lovely touch is letting your gal’s take them home afterwards.
  • 4. Recipes that can be made ahead of time will be your best friend.
Menu item’s like frittatas, quiches, and chia pudding can be made in cute individual portions. They are gorgeous, filling and can be prepped the night before. When made in tin foil or muffin tins these things will also make your clean up super easy. Also, there’s just something so adorable about a mini quiche or a chia pudding cup am I right? It’s such an easy way to make your guests feel special.
  • Pop some bottles and a couple of selfies and you officially have a perfect bubbly brunch for you and your crew.
