Museum of Vancouver has a brand new exhibition that has opened this past week called ‘Rewilding Vancouver’. Curated by J.B. MacKinnon, the show uses everything from dioramas, video installations, taxidermy and soundscapes to illustrate how humans interact with, shape and are consequently shaped by nature.

Not only is Wine Fest a grand and informative time, it also raises money for Bard on the Beach.

ArtShift BC takes over SFU Woodward’s in the Goldcorp Centre for the Arts on Saturday (starting at 9:30am until 7pm) for a day of hands-on workshops, training and seminars featuring theory and practice. Catch live music and original spoken word performances too.
Saturday afternoon, The Russian Hall is hosting a bevy of distilleries from around the Lower Mainland and beyond. Distillers from Seattle Distilling Co., Victoria Spirits, Long Table Distillery, Odd Society Spirits, Captive Spirits, Bluewater Distilling, Pemberton Distillery, Yukon Shine and Yaletown Distillery will be pouring tastes of their craft spirits.

2014 Heritage Classic takes place this weekend and pits the Canucks against the Ottawa Senators before 50,000 fans under an open roof at BC Place Stadium.
