Street Style for Young Professionals at Toronto Fashion Week SS14: October 24

During Toronto Fashion Week, finding outfit inspiration for young professionals was effortless. From layers and laid-back looks, to pops of colour, we were just as influenced by the people walking outside David Pecaut Square as we were by those walking down the runways. Here are our top three looks from yesterday's streetstylers

It may seem contradictory to wear a cropped sleeve jacket, but this makes for a marvelous layered look. The pop of rich colours intensifies the sophistication and glamour of this ensemble. Royal purple, deep chocolate brown and fall’s favorite color, emerald green, make for an unlikely combination, but displays charm and allure. What better way to complete the look than with a chic statement necklace?

Classically contemporary and effortlessly cool, the black, white and tan combination is always on trend. Pegging your pants, popping your collar to show a contrasting lining, and buttoning a shirt all the way up to the collar are some clever ways to change your look from common to current. The Chelsea boot is the perfect shoe for the colder months. With its clean and simple lines, this boot is especially versatile and practical.

This full, quilted midi skirt creates a ladylike presence. Pairing with a form-fitting, tucked in tee helps to maintain elegance and is foolproof for a YP’s everyday look. When the sun goes down, throwing on a moto jacket in classic black adds some serious edge.
