The CN Tower is quite probably the most well-known Toronto attraction the world over. But to us Torontonians, it’s almost one of those done-it-twice-done-it-enough kind of landmarks. But in 9 days and counting, the CN Tower is launching the EdgeWalk, where thrill-seeking adventurers will be taking a walk…outside and around the circumference of the CN Tower’s roof. Not quite your average stroll in the park.
This is a pretty notable development for our lofty tower, and one that we’re sure will have a few young professionals chomping at the bit to be one of the first to gaze down at the city. EdgeWalk is the first attraction of its kind in North America and the world’s highest full circle hands-free walk on a 5 ft wide ledge. Don’t worry though, it’s only 116 stories above the ground.
To coincide with the launch of EdgeWalk, NABS is holding dare4NABS – an excellent initiative that has four teams pledging to raise $5,000 for the not-for-profit organization in order to be some of the first taking the EdgeWalk. NABS (National Advertising Benevolent Society) is a “dynamic support system for all Canadian professionals in the communications industry facing personal, career and family challenges due to illness, injury, unemployment or financial difficulties.”
To help support dare4NABS and their goal of raising $25,000, head over to the dare4NABS homepage and click donate now. There may still be some space left to join a team and be a part of this momentous occasion, so be sure to contact NABS if the call of adventure is too strong to bear.
NABS will also be hosting the dare4NABS After Party at the Steamwhistle Brewery to help commemorate the teams’ accomplishments.
