Toronto’s Bloor-Yorkville neighbourhood rolled out the red carpet on November 22 for the 15th annual Bloor Street Entertains. Each year, the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Reasearch (CANFAR) transforms 20 prominent retail locations in the area into a glamourous display of fine dining, haute couture and live entertainment. The most notable part of this spectacular event is that the gala has raised over $4 million for AIDS research since its inception.
Guests were treated to a five-star dining experience in the presence of Honorary Patrons W. Galen Weston and Hilary M. Weston, followed by an exceptional after-dinner show at the Royal Conservatory of Music’s Koerner Hall. Topping off a fantastic evening was a live auction chalk full of exclusive items and performance by award-winning recording artist Keshia Chante.
Notable went to check out Cartier (Sassafraz chef Bradley Macdonald) and Escada (Frank Parhizgar of Frank’s Kitchen), and was invited for an exclusive dinner at Roots (Trevor Wilkinson of Trevor Kitchen and Bar) with a musical performance by vocalist Alana Bridgewater. Guests were welcomed to the table by the exceptional design of Fiori Floral. To see the image gallery, click here.
